ALTAR SERVERS

Altar boys and girls may make their intention known that they wish to serve at the Lord’s altar. Children are invited to become an Altar Server after they make their Frist Communion. They serve at weekend Masses as well as Tuesday Novena in Saint Anthony's Chapel, liturgical functions, Holy Week, Midnight Mass, funerals, weddings, and benediction.
ALCOHOLIC ANONYMOUS
A group from Alcoholics Anonymous meets each Saturday at 10am in the Church Hall. All are welcome!
ALUMNI ASSOCIATION

BEREAVEMENT MINISTRY
Chairperson - Selma Uhlig
The Bereavement Ministry is a group of volunteers who help those who grieve over the loss of a loved one. This group visits the Funeral Home and assist with various duties during funerals. They organize a Mass every year on All Souls Day for those who wish to remember their loved one who had passed during that year.
CCD SPECIAL EDUCATION
Chairperson - Cathy Baysek
The main purpose of the Special Education is the spiritual education and preparation for the reception of the sacraments for mentally and physically disabled persons. Also taught are “everyday living skills”. Classes are held on Saturday mornings from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, October to May. For more information, call Cathy at 412-303-3768.
CHOIR
Chairperson - Carol Spehar
The choir was established in 1903 and at one time there were two divisions, the Men’s choir and the Women’s choir. It was revitalized approximately twenty years ago, after an absence of some years. It is now a mixed choir and open to all who may wish to participate. Practice is on Wednesday nights, September through June at 7:00 pm in Most Holy Name Church. Come to church any Wednesday evening with your voice!
CHRISTIAN MOTHERS AND WOMEN’S GUILD
The Christian Mothers at Most Holy Name was one of the oldest in America before it became affiliated with the Archconfraternity on March 23, 1981. Beside their spiritual duties, they work together to help the parish financially with their special events, such as working at the Festivals and having money-raising events. The ladies meet on the first Wednesday of the month for refreshments and fellowship. Refreshments begin at noon and the meeting begins at 12:30 pm.
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION (CCD)

In September of 1960 the CCD program started for children not attending a catholic school. All classes are held on Sunday mornings. Any child not attending a catholic school should be enrolled. Anyone desiring information regarding these classes may contact the coordinator.
EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS
Chairperson - Sharon Sweeney-Trunick
The Eucharistic Ministers duty is to assist at the Masses. They may either help with the distribution of the Sacred Host (body of Christ) or the Cup (the blood of Christ). Some of these dedicated people take the Eucharist each Sunday to shut-ins so they may feel a part of the congregation through the reception of Christ’s Body and Blood. FOOD BANK Chairperson Chairperson - Val Kapetanovich The Catholic Community Food Bank of Troy Hill distributes on the third Tuesday of each month in Most Holy Name Church Hall. Those experiencing food shortages can be served through this distribution.
HIDDEN TREASURES RUMMAGE HOUSE

The volunteers at the Rummage House work at their own pace and time to sort and price the items to go on sale each month. The Rummage House (MHN Convent Building) holds a monthly sale on the 2nd Saturday of each month. We also serve the needy out of this house, all is done out of the generosity of the parishioners and members of the community through their donations. This is actually a FUN - raiser for the parish - meaning the volunteers have fun & enjoy what they do.
LADIES OF CHARITY
Our newly-reorganized Ladies of Charity Group serves the parish in a variety of ways. Their outreach to shut ins includes greeting cards, phone calls, fruit basket & flowers delivered twice per year. They collect items during Advent and Lent for area outreach organizations. They host a Mass of Anointing each spring in St. Anthony's Chapel. LECTORS
The lectors are the readers of the Sacred Scriptures for the liturgies and functions. This is an important role for these people who give of their time and talents to do God’s work. Please call the rectory if you would like to be a part of this group.
ST. ANTHONY’S CHAPEL COMMITTEE
Chairperson - Carole Brueckner
St. Anthony Chapel Committee’s main function is to work with the Pastor to oversee the maintenance of the Chapel, handle press releases and raise funds for maintenance of the Chapel. A mail appeal is made each year to accomplish the Chapel’s financial goals. Many tour groups are welcomed each year by the tour guides. This committee also operates the Chapel Gift Shop and the Father Mollinger Museum. All of this is done with the help of a group of dedicated volunteers.

ST. ANTHONY’S LYCEUM
President - Doug Bartolowits
This group was first founded in 1922. The object of the Lyceum is to provide healthy amusement and to serve as a bond of union for the preservation of faith and morals. The members of the Lyceum participate in all Parish functions and hold annual fund raisers for the good of the Parish. The Lyceum also supports the work of the Special Education Program through monthly donations. Join them for a card game, golf, or just good fellowship. Hours are Friday 7-11pm; Sunday 2-5pm and 7-11:30pm. The club is located in the convent basement. All Catholics 16 and older are invited to join. ST. VINCENT de PAUL SOCIETY
Our Parish conference began in January of 1931. Needy families in our territory of all denominations, are helped by this society. The Society exists solely on monetary donations. Baskets are placed before the Altars on the first Sunday of each month to collect non-perishable food, paper products and cleaning materials. These items are then distributed to the needy by dedicated members of the Society. To have a need handled by the St. Vincent de Paul Society, please call 412-231-2994, ext. 8 and leave a message. USHERS CLUB
Dan Doyle
These men are the “official” greeters who welcome all to weekend or special masses. They make sure that there is order at all church functions. They see to it that everyone is seated at Mass and maintain order at Communion and take up the Offertory Collection.
